I can't tell you how much I love repeat customers. There isn't a greater compliment than using a photographer over and over again. I think I've shared about the Helms' before on my Facebook page, but not here. I went to high school with Rachel and we were cheerleaders together (yes, I was a cheerleader, and actually loved it!) Her and Cody hired me to do their wedding, one of my firsts, before I knew all I know now about photography, and let's just say I am glad they came back and gave me another chance for their two year anniversary pictures. There is always room for improvement, that goes for anything in life. I was SO excited when Rachel asked me to do her maternity pictures and I cannot wait to capture baby Finley's first breath and newborns! So be sure to look for those later on in April!
Okay, now on to the maternity session! Being Spring in the south, it rains, a lot. With jobs, life, and everything else, sometimes you just have to work with the rain. At the beginning of the week we saw that it was a high chance of rain for Sunday, but we hoped to pray the rain away. It was POURING the whole commute to Birmingham, but once we arrived, the rain calmed down a bit. To our surprise, we weren't the only idiots that decided to brave the rain on Morris Avenue! We were able to get most of the session done before the clouds opened up again. We did have to spend the last half under a bridge, but we were still able to get some great shots.
